Seasonal tune-ups

Tucker HVAC Maintenance and Tune-Ups

Two checkups a year, one per season, with each measurement logged so worn parts surface early.

A Tune-Up With Real Readings

Equipment almost always drops hints before it quits. The start capacitor reads a little low. The condensate line gets slimy. The furnace hesitates a beat longer before the burners catch. A tune-up is the moment to catch those hints while the fix is small and the weather is mild. HVAC Tucker handles seasonal maintenance on air conditioners, furnaces and heat pumps for homeowners, landlords and commercial buildings. The cooling visit belongs in spring and covers both coils, the condensate drain and float switch, capacitors, contactors and wiring, refrigerant pressures and temperatures, and the airflow moving across the indoor coil. The heating visit belongs in fall and covers burners, igniter, flame sensor, inducer, limit and rollout switches, the vent connections and the blower. A heat pump earns both visits because it works both seasons. Every appointment also includes a filter swap or check, a test that the thermostat is actually signaling the equipment, and a written report listing each check, each measurement and anything to watch. Nothing is replaced without your sign-off and a price. You will not be asked to sign up for any plan or program either: call when the season turns, and dispatch puts the visit on the calendar. Our cooling season runs long, so the spring appointment is the one we would least like you to skip.

What a Maintenance Visit Includes

The checklist changes slightly by season and equipment type, but these items are standard.

  • Coil cleaning

Indoor and outdoor coils inspected and cleaned so the system can shed and absorb heat properly.

  • Condensate drain

Condensate lines flushed and float switches tested to prevent leaks.

  • Electrical testing

Capacitor values, contactor condition, wire connections and motor draw measured and logged.

  • Refrigerant and air readings

Charge and airflow recorded so a leak or restriction shows up early.

  • Burner and ignition service

Burners, igniters and flame sensors cleaned and tested on gas furnaces.

  • Safety controls

Limit, rollout and pressure switches checked, along with venting.

  • New filter

A clean filter goes in, and the tech notes a sensible replacement interval for your home.

  • Written report

Every reading and finding on paper, so the next decision is easier.

A Tune-Up From Start to Finish

  1. Pick a day

Call dispatch, tell us what equipment you have and choose a daytime appointment any day of the week.

  2. Work the list

Component by component, the tech cleans, tests and records, flagging anything showing wear.

  3. Read through the notes

You receive the written notes, and any repair comes with a price before it happens.

Due for a Spring or Fall Tune-Up?

Tell dispatch what equipment you have and roughly when it last had a checkup. We will slot the visit and send a tech with the full checklist.
